Justice League Unlimited JLU CUSTOM hand-painted Captain Atom action figure

Description: I am selling a custom-made, hand-painted Mattel Justice League Unlimited (JLU) Captain Atom action figure. It was based on the JLU Superman action figure from 2002, which was carefully, artfully repainted into Captain Atom. An early version of Captain Atom first appeared in Charlton Comics in 1960, co-created by writer Joe Gill and artist Steve Ditko (the co-creator of Spider-Man and Doctor Strange and creator of the Ted Kord Blue Beetle and the Question!). The modern version of Captain Atom first appeared in 1987, published by DC Comics. This custom-painted figure is based on the modern DC version of the character. Captain Atom did appear several times in the Justice League Unlimited animated series and received two official JLU action figures -- one in a very pale blue color, the way he looked in the cartoon, and one repainted silver, more in line with his comic book appearance. This custom-made figure was created before either official version of Captain Atom was produced by Mattel. I did not create this custom figure, but I've owned it for almost 20 years. It has a beautiful, shiny silver paint job, and all joints are tight. The paint has always been dry -- not tacky at all, and with no fingerprints or any other rubs, marks, or blemishes. It was briefly displayed in an adult collection in a smoke-free, pet-free, child-free home, free from dust. Then it was stored away safely in a plastic bag, sealed in a Rubbermaid-style storage box. Since it is a custom, it is really meant for display rather than "play." I would not give it to a kid to play with! I will ship it for free via USPS First Class Mail -- only within the continental United States! If you buy multiple figures from me, I will ship them together.
