Each gradient vial is calibrated to a different slope. These vials are machined from an optical-grade acrylic block to provide clear readings and are shockproof to resist breakage. The body is made of aluminum for light weight and corrosion resistance, has a milled leveling surface for accuracy, and has end caps that help absorb impacts. The level is available in a 24" length that has three gradient vials and a 48" length that has five gradient vials. Levels are used in the building trades, engineering, surveying, and metalworking, among other applications.
