Description: Celadon is a distinctive green-glazed ceramic originally from China. During the Goryeo dynasty (918–1392), celadon was the main type of ceramic made on the Korean peninsula. The colour is dependent on the presence of iron in the clay, and of iron oxide, manganese oxide, and quartz particles in the glaze. Made by Kim Se-Yong (b.1946), who was designated a Korean Master Craftsman for Ceramics in 2002. Previously he was Professor of Ceramic Art at Chungkang College of Cultural Industries. Good condition measures 5 3/3inches tall
