Description: This is a puzzling item. It appears to be old with some fire burns around the icon. It looks to me like salvaged from a burning church. I think of Stalin burning and destroying churches in the Soviet Union. The icon has been attached to a thin wooden base with a frame. I don't know what the 'RIZA', cover, is made of. It is embossed and some painted angels on it. I used a magnet to see is it would stick, but it did not. Very unusual icon for your collection. NOTE I do not accept returns.
