Description: This very rare vintage doll was available from Madame Alexander in 1945 & 1946 only. The mold is similar to the Little Cherub doll that was marketed by Georgene Averill but the facial painting is very different. The 11&1/2” all-composition doll has a blonde mohair wig and brown painted eyes and is marked MADAME//ALEXANDER across the shoulders. The pink rosette print fleece sleeper and white felt mittens are original. This doll is in good condition from a smoke-free home, with no unpleasant odors. She has crazing/fine cracks on her face, behind her right ear, on her chest and on her right side, as well as a larger crack behind her left ear. The face, hand and knee painting are intact. The sleeper has pilling but no stains or other damage. One mitten has a light blue stain on one side but there is no other damage.
