Description: *MADE IN USA* BOSTON RED SOX New Era 59FIFTY Officially Licensed Fitted Hat (Size: 7 1/2) *TEAM ISSUED* "Team Issued" refers to this hat being issued by the Boston Red Sox into their clubhouse as Official On-Field Apparel, although it was never issued to a specific player (and therefore never used). For this reason, this hat does not have the New Era stickers which are generally associated with a brand new New Era hat, as this hat was not initially intended for retail sale. Hat was "MADE IN USA" in order to comply with MLB regulations, as all aspects of Official MLB Uniforms must be produced in the United States. These hats have become rather difficult to come by due to the fact that New Era has halted United States production of hats for retail sale (as of June 2019), and now utilizes their plant in Miami-Dade County, Florida exclusively for the production of Official On-Field Caps worn by MLB Players (see last photo of interior tag). Hat is brand new, and has never before been used or worn despite being issued into the Boston Red Sox clubhouse; deemed to be in near-mint to mint condition. Smoke-free house.
