One of two "Poodle Sports" scenes, along with The Poodle Soccer Match, that were never issued in the Alfred Mainzer "Printed in Belgium" series published in New York, this illustration was previously only issued in Europe in the 1960s as Coloprint B Special 2270/5. This is Hartung's second depiction of a track meet, the first issued in Europe in the 1950s as Edition Max Kunzli 4770 in which cats are competing rather than poodles. Condition is very good.
