This is the real deal; the Mamoli kit, not the Chinese copy. I purchased it from Model Shipways. A beautifully detailed model and...as far as this type of model goes; not a difficult build. My favorite sailing ship with the actual movie version home-ported here in San Diego at the Maritime Museum. I have to down-size my collection and realistically won't ever finish her so she needs a new home. I'm including the book "Surprise", where she was introduced into the Maturine/Aubrey Series (commonly referred to as "Master and Commander Series"
