Presenting a Magnificent Ornate and Very Colorful Vintage Symbolic Three-Tier York Rite Enamel and Golden Jewel. This is the Sovereign Cross of the Order of the Purple Cross of York, which is the York Rite Equivalent of the 33rd Degree in the Scottish Rite. This beautiful, glistening gem is attached to a deep bluish-purple cord for wearing around neck. Top tier is for Past Governor. Middle tier is for Associate Regent. The main jewel is a magnificent enamel Cross Jewel. At center is a big letter Y for York Rite and is surrounded by a burst of Light. There are also symbols including a Knights Templar Commandery Cross in Crown, Square and Compass and a Triple Tau Cross inside a Red Mystical Triangle. The Jewel is attached to Deep Bluish-Purple cord for wearing around the neck. This is a stunning Jewel. As to age, it could be 1950’s-60’s. Hard to say. A tiny makers mark on back is hard to read. The Jewel is in very good vintage condition with only some normal expected minor wear. No problems. Measures approximately 4 ¼ inches in length.
