Description: Melrose Compote True open clear Non-Flint Greensburg Glass Company 1889, The Brilliant Glass Co,1887-1888. John B. Higbee Glass Co. 1907, New Martinsville Glass Co. 1916, Dugan Glass Company 1915. The glass is clear and any colors you see in the photographs are reflections from the indoors where I photographed the piece. The compote has the bubbles, straw marks, and waviness common to Early American Pressed Glass. Height 6 9/16” diameter 8 1/2”, weight before packing is 2.210 pounds. No chips or cracks, made in a three-part mold, lovely bubble in base. Good impression from the mold. Please email with questions or comments.
