This kit is for you!This kit converts a MEP-831A from the failure prone factory Inverter & PMA to a conventional Generator Head and increases power output from 3 KW to 4.2 KW! Kit contains:- Custom microprocessor-controlled Governor Controller circuit card assembly to replace the factory SLC100 Governor Controller. The new Governor Controller is designed to maintain 60 +/- 0.2 Hz output frequency, restores contactor control, restores overload and short circuit protections and restores operation of the Load meter. Conformally coated to seal out moisture.- Transformer assembly to restore operation of the MEP-831s Battery Charger which is lost when removing the PMA.- Current sensors with wire harness to monitor output current on both legs of the generator head outputs to monitor for overcurrent and overload conditions. Restores operation of the MEP-831As output power meter.- Wire harness to restore operation of the AC voltmeter and contactor control providing both overcurrent and overload protections.- Generator head support bracket- All needed installation hardware- Detailed printed instructions with pictures on how to prepare a MEP-831 for the conversion and all the steps to perform the conversion.** This kit does NOT contain the needed generator head. The recommended source for the generator head is Mecc Alte, the World's Largest Independent Producer of Alternators. The recommended generator head can be ordered directly from Mecc Alte.
