I just bought an 05 CLK320 and want to add bluetooth for my Blackberry Torch. There is no contact plate in the car. From what I read, I need the MHI unit, cables, fuses, mounting bracket, contact plate, and bluetooth puck. Is that right? What would your price be for all these parts? A: Hi,I'm a vendor/installer for several So Cal MBZ dealers since 1985,somewhat new to the e world..It's nice that some of the people I've helped have posted..Is your car a coupe or conv?..I've listed both CLK coupe or Conv new install parts with a nice used 2nd gen BTM(good for iPhone,Blackberry,ect) and this "Cheater Kit" with just the minimum parts needed..I'd supply MBZ Tech Installation Instructions and over the phone help..If coupe we can also do a "Cheater" kit and bolt the control module in place..As for the iTronic BT system from CarTronics.com,I've had a high failure rate,and they are difficult to do warranty with..Their product is supposed to be made by mObridge,which I've had a lesser failure rate..I've stocked and sold both brands,but only if '07-up where the car may not be pre-wired for the actual OEM/MBZ kit,and local only..I'd never sell the after market kit to an '05 CLK customer as all were pre-wired,and ZERO DEFECT with the MBZ parts..On both after market kits you have to splice in(read hack) for power,not true plug and play as OEM/MBZ. A: As also noted,ebay is now forcing the Square Trade Warranty offers in my-paid-for-ads..There are MANY buyer complaints,even talk of law suits against Square Trade in the Discussion Forums..Many of those were denied warranty claims as item was not really eligible for coverage,yet warranty sold..No big D for SqT as they just refund the price of the non existent warranty..Now the buyer is stuck,that makes the seller look bad since the offer is in his listing with out disclosure that it's not by his choice..As,such that seller is a willing collaborator..I've been fighting with Square Trade and ebay to remove these warranty offers,as I want nothing to do with Square Trade,with no luck..I think Square Trade warranty is a SCAM,If you trust them,buy the warranty directly from SqT..That way no excuse to cover an item,no way they can deny a claim..Waste of money as with this item so far I've had ZERO failure..Thanx!
