Description: This fine piece of vintage East German glass is the M42 version of the Meyer Primotar, a lens typically found on the Exakta mount. This is/was the kit lens that came with my Praktica FX3 (not included in this sale), and I am selling the lens due to the fact that I haven't been using it enough to justify keeping it out of someone else's hands. This lens is in remarkably good condition, with a fully functional aperture that still clicks in place at every stop from f3.5 to f16. The automatic aperture pin on the rear of the lens seems to stick, leaving the lens in manual aperture mode. The chrome finish is slightly worn and pitted due to age, however focus remains very smooth and the glass is unblemished, with zero dust between the elements, as is pictured above.
