All reasonable offers are considered MIRIAM HASKELL 50'S 2PC SUITE: Faux Flawed Emerald Beads Faux Pearls Gilt Brass Accents For your consideration, a rare and absolutely gorgeous single string/strand rope/opera length necklace and matching earrings designed and hand made for Miriam Haskell CIRCA 1950's The necklace is a strand/string of ovoid flawed emerald art glass beads with stations of gold gilt filigree brass bead caps, small donut shaped corrugated brass beads and tiny rondelle faux pearls. The beads are accentuated by gold gilt bead caps and tiny gold gilt spacer beads. It fastens with a decorated gold gilt filigree box clasp. The clasp is decorated with small baroque mabé pearl and it is signed “MIRIAM HASKELL”. The necklace is fairly long and can be worn draped with other necklaces or wrapped around the neck at least twice. The earrings are the exact match to the necklace. and also hand made for Miriam Haskell CIRCA 1950's. They are clusters with dangles and fasten with paddle clip backs. The head of the earrings are oval wreath shaped with a large oval shaped white baroque glass mabé pearl in the center. A ring of small rondelle shaped glass pearls and filigree rondelle beads encircle the mabé pearl. The beads and faux pearls are hand wired to a gold gilt brass base. The dangle is a flawed emerald art glass bead. It is ovoid in shape like those of the necklace. Both earrings are signed “ HASKELL” on the back of the paddle clip. The earrings have a good solid weight and the design has an unusually exotic look and feel of real gold, and semi-precious gems. The necklace and earrings each have a good solid weight and the set has an unusually exotic look and feel of real gold, and semi-precious gems. The beads and brass accents used in construction of the earrings and necklace are of the best quality and contribute to its smooth finish, exquisite beauty and well preserved condition. It will appreciate in value over the years if gently worn and carefully stored. DIMENSIONS & WEIGHT: All measurements are approximate and taken at longest/widest points. Necklace ~46”L ends to end and includes the box clasp not the latch. Ovoid Beads are ½” x ⅜”. It is fairly heavy and weighs approximately 132 grams. Earrings ~ 3”L. The head of each earring is oval and measures approximately 1½” x 1". The emerald ovoid beads in the dangles are ½” x ⅜”. Each earring weighs 13 grams. CONDITION: Please note this is pre-owned 1950's vintage jewelry and it has been gently worn. It originally belonged to a relative and has been in storage in a dust free and temperature controlled storage facility since I received it in 1980’s. The findings of the necklace and earrings are all original and fairly well preserved. The flawed emerald art glass beads are well preserved with no cracks, bruises or chips. The threading of the necklace has no fraying or stretching. There is some tarnish to the gold gilt brass findings of the necklace and they have a Russian gold color. However, it is not unsightly or distracting. The box clasp of the necklace fastens securely. The back of the box clasp has some wear, tiny scratches in the metal and tarnish, but nothing unsightly or distracting. The mabé pearl on the box clasp has no peeling or nicks. There is no tarnish or patina to the gold gilt filigree brass base of the earrings. The clip backs are shiny and clean and they look gently worn if ever. The gold gilt brass bead findings have a Russian gold color. The flawed emerald art glass beads of the dangles are well preserved with no cracks, bruises or chips. The paddle backs of the earrings both fasten securely and fit with a slight pinch. Structurally, all pieces of this set are very well preserved with minor flaws, of tarnish as mentioned above. The set is extremely rare and highly desirable. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.
