Description: Offered for your consideration is a vintage MISSION TYPE No. 700 SERIES HF 19mm dome tweeter that was original equipment in my MISSION 70 MKII speakers, manufactured in England, 1986. This high-frequency driver is identical to the Vifa DT19D-5 tweeter used in earlier versions of the Model 700, besides the faceplate being engraved with the MISSION name (partly covered with padded white decal). So, please have a look at my large photos, the measurements, and read the remaining description to decide if this exceptional MISSION tweeter is correct for your needs. *Although the listing is written largely in singular to avoid any confusion, two (2) identical MISSION 19mm dome tweeters are available at time of this writing. This MISSION tweeter is in clean, excellent condition. It has a perfect soft dome, slightly recessed for protection beneath the sturdy plastic faceplate. Plus, the faceplate has no scratches—it was mounted behind the baffle in the 70 MKII, hence the white pad ring—or any mount hole cracks. Also, the +/- terminals are marked for polarity and have never been soldered on the spades. Overall, this tweeter is remarkably well preserved. More importantly, it has been fully tested and sounds terrific—strong, with clear high frequency output to a sparkly 20kHz rating. Plus, I tested its DC resistance at 6.6Ω, consistent with a nominal 8 ohm driver rating. Lastly, the faceplate measures 3⅝” across, it stands ⅞” tall, and the three mounting holes are 2⅞” apart, center-to-center.
