Description: You supply your Boss MD-2 Mega Distortion. No pedal is provided! Notes: Well, I wasn't sure if I could do it but I tamed the beast! In stock form, the MD-2 is a fizz factory (not to be confused with the awesome Fuzz Factory pedal by ZVEX). It suffers from a harsh, "brittle" tone. I modify the circuit to smooth out the distortion - without neutering the high gain this pedal is known for. You'll still have plenty of face melting gain on tap but the tone will be more balanced and focused - with a more useable EQ throughout the entire range (particularly the lows and mids). This is a significant improvement over the stock pedal. Additionally, I add an external pot to control the mids frequency knob. This means you can fine-tune what you are adjusting with that knob. Lastly, I add a bright LED in your choice of color. If you have one of these sitting around collecting dust, why not make it useable? Professionally installed by me. I know what I am doing and my work is clean and correct. I am meticulous in my work. I pay attention to the details - including cleaning / lubricating all jacks and pots, replacing any worn or missing battery straps, grommets and screws and fully testing every function prior to shipment.
