Basket weaving, and producing these exquisite woven Moses baskets, empowers women and men with the opportunity to earn a valuable second income. Each Moses basket takes around three days to complete, using veta vera grass (also known as elephant grass) which grows wild in Ghana and produces wonderfully balanced and sturdy basketry.
