This one is the best of both worlds--the exact look of the classic Lionel 500 series standard gauge cars with the brand new parts and shine of a new item. Put this looker out on display and don't worry about a thing. Let everyone ooh and ahhh. This is an earlier MTH tinplate item. As such, it is not one you see for sale all that often. It is a remake of the old classic Lionel Standard Gauge #500 series freight car: the #516 red coal hopper, which has always been one of the more striking cars. Use it with any standard gauge, and it will be right at home. You can run it with the original or add it to the MTH tinplate cars you have.
