Description: For sale is a Perfect Pair of Antique 18th C Rev War era forged steel Shoe Buckles with original leather shoe tongue component. It is very rare to come up with a perfect matching pair in such a great condition. See Neumann’s revolutionary encyclopedia reference book for similar examples. This pair is decommissioned from a formal museum. See museum code on the back. Each buckle measures 2” x 1.5”. Nicely high arched form. One in the set miss a piece of leather that would hold the buckle in place. The other one is more complete. Other than that, in great condition!
