The blades are made of carbon steel, heat-treated to 62 HRc. The ergonomic handles are made of lacquered European beech wood, fitted with solid brass tapered ferrules. These double-cut files, graded as "medium cut," are coarse enough for material removal and smooth enough for finishing surfaces. The diagonal teeth intersect with a second set, enabling aggressive filing in both directions, These files get more aggressive the longer they get.
