Description: This is a neck blank I made years ago for an electric guitar that I obviously never finished. It is made from a single piece of very old white oak that came out of the kitchen of the house I grew up in, which was about 100 years old at the time this was taken from it, since then it has aged another twenty some years and has also been baked in an oven... a very resonant piece of wood. The headstock shape I made by tracing a few different photos of Airline Bighorn headstocks and then tweaking slightly in sketchup. I wouldn't call it an exact replica but I figure close enough. I don't play electrics and I prefer big necks with wide string spacing so this was roughed out to suit me, as such the nut width is about 1-7/8". This is just a roughed out blank though, so making it narrower wouldn't be tough. This was designed to work with a 24" scale length and accommodate a zero fret, but depending on how many frets you want and if you ditch the zero fret idea, you may well make it work with longer scale lengths. dimensions: overall length: 26.5"fretboard surface length: 18-13/16"fretboard surface thickness: 3/4" thick even, throughoutheadstock thickness: a smidge under 1/2 (12mm)tuner hole diameter: 8.9mmtuner hole on center spacing: 20mm (designed to work with Fender 6 in line vintage Kluson type tuners) Sold as-is, no returns, please don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have before purchasing.
