New Hypertufa Cement Cat Planter Pot w/Face & Ears 4 x 4.5" Great for Cat Grass!

Description: Purrrrrrfect for a cut-and-come-again catnip plant, dwarf catmint, or cat grass, this new hypertufa planter is handmade and features kitty cat ears, eyes, and a little nose/mouth. The pot's exterior is a square-ish shape measuring approximately 3.5" wide at its narrowest point and a little more than 4" at its widest point. As for its height, the planter measures roughly 4.5" from its base to the tip of its cat ears. The pot's interior planting space is fairly small—approximately 2.25" wide by 2.75" tall. Please see photos for views of each of these details. Made without peat moss, my hypertufa recipe includes a mixture of Portland cement, coconut coir, vermiculite, and water. Planter has one small drainage hole and is suitable for growing succulent plants, cacti, assorted herbs, and more. (Pot does not come with any plants though!) This kitty cat planter has not been sealed or waterproofed; however, I did paint the eyes, nose, inside fronts of the ears, and small portions of the face with a tiny bit of shellac to help emphasize the kitty's features. Also, I always test the pH of my hypertufa pots with pH test strips. Although the strips are a fairly blunt instrument, you can at least see whether most of the alkalinity of the cement has been leached out this way. See photo of pH test results.
