This kit is only guaranteed to fit the following brands and models:Marantz 2600Marantz 2330BMarantz 2385Marantz 2500Product features: Includes replacement plates and terminals for the speaker outputs on your model Allows for the use of individually terminated male banana plug tips for your speaker wires Allows for bare wire attachment (10awg max), which improves the look and wiring options You can repurpose the original hardware and either: solder the internal speaker wires directly to the back of the terminals, or use ring tip terminals using the included extra hardware. The speaker wires behind some terminal blocks are fairly tight, so the use of ring terminals are highly recommended. These are not included, but if the kit is purchased on our website, the ring terminals can be chosen as an add-on for an additional amount. NOTE: By purchasing this product, you understand that the installation of this part does require certain skills and competency using tools and a soldering iron. If you are not comfortable doing this work yourself, take it to an electronics service shop and they should be able to do the work for you. INSTALLATION NOTES:You will need some basic tools/materials, such as a Philips screwdriver, wire cutters/strippers, soldering iron/solder, etc. These items are not included.There is plenty of slack in the existing internal speaker wires to re-attach to the new plate, but still snip off the wires as close to the plate terminal as possible to make sure you" don't cut yourself short".Keep the wiring orientation exactly as it was with the originals. (Take pictures of the existing wires for reference before you begin.)For best connectivity, we recommend soldering the wires to the tips of the new terminals.WARNING: DO NOT overheat the back end terminals. Nothing more than a normal 40W soldering iron should be used and even so, make sure you are proficient in the right procedure for soldering wires onto terminals such as these. If the screw terminals get too hot, it could melt the plate and/or bushings of the terminals.The original panel used machine screws with an embedded threaded nut. This is not present on this new panel. We recommend the use of a slightly large self-taping screw or a normal machine screw with a nut and washer on the back side. This hardware is not included, but should be locally available in your favorite hardware/box store.DISCLAIMER: Marantz and any other vintage audio products, contain aged components and wiring.
