Description: Here is a beautiful Newcomb College Pottery vase with an integrated form and decoration of carved leaves and flowers on a shouldered cylindrical shape. Carved by Corrine Chalaron in her signature style and glazed in their matte blue and green glazes with good contrast. It measures 6 3/8 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches in diameter at the widest. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repair. Marks with the firm's die-stamped NC mark, a faint JM for the potter Jonathan Hunt, conjoined c’s for artist Corrine Chalaron, and date code NH for 1923. A fine example of the quintessential southern Arts & Crafts art pottery.
