Description: NEWMAN, ILLINOIS circa 1888 Victorian family portrait of either a mother and son or brother and sister. Young boy is seated on a small table and is giving us a profile view while the young woman faces forward and slightly angled, She is holding a small cdv soft leather photo album on her lap. Her dress has lots of lovely detail. Painted backdrop is a rolling hill scene with a primitive fence in the distance. No identification for the subjects. The back has no imprint and is pink in color. The front has a gilt imprint. This Cabinet Card photo was taken at W. H. WELLS in Newman, Illinois. Really nice item in fantastic condition!
