Description: Here we have a new old stock schnacke recoil starter to fit a 4hp kohler engine. These were found as military surplus and brand new but had been stored somewhere damp so they were somewhat sticky to rewind and had rust spots on cover. They were taken apart cleaned and oiled. Also the outer covers were sandblasted and painted with base coat clear coat automotive paint. This listing also includes the 7/16-20 crankshaft nut and correct screws to attach to a kohler shroud, the nut may have a thread insert installed to make it correct for kohler. The mounting ring on these is a little different then the original wheel horse style but still installs perfectly fine. If you have any questions please ask. All items are sold AS-IS with no returns.
