Description: Here is an old cabinet card photo of 5 kids from teenage to toddler. On the back they are identified as Ida, Ellen, Lizzie, Walter and Oscar Lorah. I did some research and found they were the children of Samuel & Catherine (Ruppert) Lorah, who lived in Schuylkill and Lehigh Counties. The oldest child was Ida Louise, born in 1888, she married first William Warke (1888 - 1919), then after his death she married John Traube (1879 - 1956). She died in 1979 in Orefield, Lehigh Co., PA, she and her second husband are buried in Arlington Memorial Park, Whitehall, Lehigh Co., PA. Ellen Mabel Lorah, was born in 1894 in Raven Run, Schuylkill County, PA. She married Glanford B. Kunsman (1891 - 1965) in 1913. Ellen died in 1976 and is also buried in Arlington Memorial Park with her husband. Next was Lizzie Albertina Lorah, born in 1896. She married Ralph Muth (1895 - 1971), they had one daughter. Lizzie died in 1989 in Allentown, Lehigh Co., PA. She and her husband are also buried in Arlington Memorial Park. Then Walter Charles Lorah was born in 1899, he married Helen Grow (1901 - 1986). I found an unsourced record that said Walter died in 1982 in Baltimore, MD. The youngest child in the photo, Oscar Samuel Lorah was born in 1902. In 1945 he was working for the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad after that I couldn't find any information. The photo is somewhat faded and has a few marks on it. The cardboard it is mounted on has some rough spots on the edges and corners as well as some marks on the cardboard. Great for anyone researching the family history of the Lorah family.
