Description: Here is an old cabinet card photo of a pretty, young girl, all dressed up, almost looks likes she is wearing some kind of costume or outfit from her homeland. She is also carrying a small purse and holding a black umbrella. On the back she wrote: "This was taken the day I was sweet 15." I know it's usually sweet 16, but this looks like a 5 not a 6. Unfortunately, she didn't write her name so we don't know who she is, and there is no date. The photographer was F. A. Mack & Bros of Pottsville, PA, which is located in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, so it seems the girl would have lived in or near Pottsville. The photo is nice and clear with some marks on it, the cardboard it is mounted on is stained and has rough spots around the edges and corners. On the back there is a big crease across the upper corner, but it doesn't show on the front. Nice old photo, great research project. Postage will be 4.60 to the U. S. IF OUTSIDE THE U. S., PLEASE USE THE POSTAL CALCULATOR TO DETERMINE THE COST OF POSTAGE. If you like old photographs and ephemera, please check out my EBay store and the other old photos I have listed. Many different subjects, time periods and places! I mail all my old photos in padded envelopes with cardboard to keep them from being bent. Thank you!
