Grigio Perla celluloid first came onto the market after production was finished in the year 1932. Although it was featured heavily on pens of the time, when customers tended to prefer monochrome pens, Grigio Perla really started to shine with the release of the Cinema pen. The Cinema was released to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the “birth date” of modern cinema in 1995, paying homage to the fact that film itself is likewise created with cellulose nitrate.
