Description: Don Drysdale, a young pitcher from Van Nuys, California, went on to a Hall of Fame career, winning 209 games for the Dodgers. This book is a recollection of his life in baseball on both coasts. He holds the National League record for hitting batters. After retiring in 1989, Drysdale became a successful broadcaster and he describes his frank opinions on the game, including a spirited chapter on his friend Howard Cosell. This SIGNED hardcover with dust jacket is inscribed: My Best Wishes Don Drysdale 3-22-90. The book is in good condition with slight bends in the edges of the dust jacket; a small tear in the back inside dust jacket and the beginning of separation of signature page (see photos). Pages are clean and unmarked. There is a PSA/DNA sticker F87870. The certificate is not included and the number authenticates a Nolan Ryan photograph.
