Description: Here she is! The original, 1957, "ELOISE", cloth character doll from the series of books by Kay Thompson....ELOISE for every ♥ season! Adorable, 22" tall, all cloth, "Eloise" very FIRST version, (from the popular series of books by Kay Thompson) classic doll, circa 1957, with original, bright yellow yarn hair, long slender arms and legs, mask face with molded and painted features including pert little nose, mischievous glancing eyes, rosy cheeks and that famous smirking, one side turned up mouth. Designed by Bette Gould, after the original storybook character, "Eloise", who lived at the Plaza Hotel in New York City she has been a favorite childhood companion for over a generation. She wears all her original (tagged: ELOISE/Eloise LTD./American Char. Doll Corp., Brooklyn, N.Y.) clothing: a one-piece white cotton blouse with pleated collar, front placket with brass buttons, puff sleeves and attached bloomers beneath her navy blue, pleated felt jumper, original red hair ribbon. needs shoes and socks. She and her clothing are in good clean condition, her hair is thick and she has no damages or repairs, no stains. Her clothing is in excellent condition with no tears or stains and no odors as she is from a smoke free home (small rub on one cheek). She is such a difficult doll to find and one you will want to share and her stories with the next generation. Other items are not included and will be listed separately.
