Description: ORIGINAL WWII U.S. ARMY M3 SHOULDER HOLSTER FOR M1911 & M1911A1 .45 PISTOL. Made of russet brown leather, marked "U.S." in an oval on the front and marked & dated "U.S. ENGER-KRESS 1944" on the reverse. The holster has a hand written name - looks like "CLERKIN". This holster is in overall good condition showing some age & wear. The leather is still pliable and the "Lift The Dot" snap is in working order. The stitching is all tight & intact. The bottom belt loop male snap is broken, a common point of fault with this model holster. I put a little tacky putty inside the female snap that holds the loop closed for display purposes. The putty can be easily removed with a toothpick if so desired - see close up photos.
