Description: Experience the beauty of Pablo Picasso's bullfighting drawings with this out of print large coffee table hardcover book titled "Toros Y Toreros". The ORIGINAL fabric-covered cardboard slipcase is included in this auction. This is a rare 1993 re-edition by Rizzoli with Italian translation and published in Italy. As of posting, there are no other copies of this edition available online. Picasso created the cover page and illustrations using a series of three sketchbooks. There are 32 pages of text by bullfighter Luis Miguel Dominguin (in the original Spanish and with an Italian translation), including an essay in Italian by Georges Boudaille. This is followed by 140 pages of large full-page (11 x 15 in) drawings in both color and black and white. Drawings are from Picasso's 1959 sketchbooks.Slipcase is in fair condition--it is scuffed and there are tears at the spine (see photos). It is still structurally very good. The hardcover book itself is in very good condition, with signs of use at the spine consistent with age, and no wear or tear to any of the pages or art--pages are crisp and pristine.
