Description: This is a very handsome carved wood mask. It measures approximately 14" wide x 18" tall x 8" deep. For size perspective, it has been placed on 1" x 1" grid for photographing. It was purchased "used" (as in not from the original artist) from an amateur native art collector in Prince George, BC in 1998. It was carefully restored by hand back to its original colors by a local New Brunswick artist using watercolor paint in 2016. I do not know what type of wood it is carved from. I do not know how old it actually is or who the original artist was. I do not know if it is authentic or has any specific tribal affiliation at all. It is not signed or dated. I do now that it is in the Pacific Northwest Coast style, but I am not sure of the character it is supposed to portray. Thank you for looking. Shipping within Canada or the US will be at the flat rate of $49.99.
