Description: This is: a very nice B Flat trumpet made by Pan American, a subsidiary of Conn, in 1953. Pan American made cornets and trumpets in Elkhart, Indiana from 1917 to 1955; this trumpet has a serial number of 256250, which means it was made in 1953. This trumpet has the original case and comes with a metal mute, a mouthpiece (labeled Mica-Mic-A-Matic), and two screw-in music holders. I played it and it plays just fine. All the slides move smoothly, as do the three valves. There is a dent in the small slide off the second valve; you can see other wear and tear on it, but it is in great shape for being nearly 70 years old. The bell is 4.75 inches in diameter.
