Description: Three (3) Vacumatic Filler Diaphragms Brand new Vac sacs (called "diaphragms" by Parker) for repair of vintage Parker fountain pens using the Vacumatic pump filling system, introduced in 1932 and in production into the 1950s. These sacs are packaged and sold in bags of three. Vac sacs come in three different sizes. The smallest and most commonly used is the so-called "Debutante" size, best fit for all Vac-filling Parker 51 pens, Vac-filling 1940s Duofolds, late 1930s and 1940s Vacumatics, and Debutante and sub-Debutante Vacumatics of all periods. In a pinch, these small sacs can also be used on standard-sized filler units. Standard-sized Vac sacs are primarily used on standard-sized pens from the 1930s with lockdown filler units. Oversize Vac sacs are used on only the largest Vacumatics with metal filler plungers, lockdown and Speedline: Oversize pens and Senior Maximas. These sacs are complete with pellet insert, molded extra-long so trim to fit. Lubricate internally with pure talc for smooth operation. Our sacs are fresh production from the Pen Sac Company in California, which took over the ink sac production department of the White Rubber Company, the leading suppliers of sacs to the pen industry from the 1920s through the 1980s. While other materials have their advantages when there are special requirements, for general usage latex sacs remain the best overall choice.
