PAUL SWINFORD LECTURE NOTES by Paul Swinford (published 1971 by Jeff Busby) 12 pages, spiral bound This 8 x 11 inch booklet is the spiral bound edition of Swinford's lecture notes, which Jeff Busby put out after obtaining the rights from Swinford (who had simply been photocopying and stapling his notes prior to the Busby edition). Paul Swinford firmly established himself among serious card workers' in the late 1960's when he published Faro fantasy and the follow up More Faro Fantasy -- two booklets that explored the possibilities and permutations of the Faro shuffle in depth that had not been seen before, even in the Faro work of Marlo or Elmsley. But Swinford was more than just a "faro guy", and in this set of notes, he covers thoughtful handlings of the silk reel, chop cup, color changing knives, $1 & $5 Bill transpo, Oh yeah, and some nifty Faro stuff as well. Routines are more detailed and explained than is often the case in lecture notes, and include some simple (but helpful) line drawings. CONDITION NOTES: previously owned, but in excellent condition.
