Description: "Peonies" is a rare 1937 W.E. Powell print. William E. Powell (1885 or 1878-1955) was a self-taught British artist known for his hunting and fishing work that was often used for calendar illustrations. Powell served in World War I and lost both of his legs in the Mesopotamian campaign. He earned several metals for bravery. The print measures 12" x 16" and is in excellent condition.
