Description: Pinched earthenware finger bowl created by Elise Delfield of Pincu Pottery with a hand painted black berry on the inside. Elise uses red clay to make her functional ceramic pieces. The shapes she create reference budding flowers and the undulating landscape of the Great Smokey Mountains where she lives. She hand paints each piece, similar to watercolor, reminiscent of flowers, songbirds and butterflies. She found a love of pottery at the University of Florida. In 1999 Elise began Pincu Pottery - selling primarily at craft shows. Today, she is a ceramics instructor at a local Community College, has a studio/gallery in Bryson City, NC and sells work around the world online and through various galleries around the country. The bowl measures 4.5" diameter x 1.25" tall . It is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. 6
