Description: A five volume hardcover box set of 'Poets of the English Language' published by The Viking Press in 1950. This set comes with the original slipcase, which does have some rub wear, but is otherwise still very solid. The books appear to have never been read and only show a little wear from storage over the years. The spines have a little bump and rub wear, with the upper part of the spine on Volume 3 having a little bit of grime stuck to it. The back cover of Volume 1 has a scratch, and the back cover of Volume 2 has a small divot that looks like it may have been caused when manufactured. Inside the books there is no writing or markings to any of the pages, but one page in Volume 5 has a stain spot near the upper edge. There are no dog eared corners, however one page in Volume 4 has a previously folded corner tip caused by a little bumping. A set with a little wear, but overall still in great condition for the age.
