Description: Here is a beautiful 88 year old “Popular Songs” magazine from October, 1935. The cover of this magazine features a vivid full color portrait of Nelson Eddy. The back cover features an Art Deco Style advertisement Savage Lipstick with artwork by the famous artist - Frank Farkas. Magazine has 34 pages and is profusely illustrated with sepia tone photographs, there are many articles about the musicians, performers and composers from this time period. There are ten complete pieces of sheet music with lyrics and also many song lyrics without the music notation. There also some vintage advertisements in this magazine. Magazine is in very good condition. There is some very minor staining inside front cover - possible foxing or acid reaction to paper. There is a very minor 1/4 inch tear on the left side edge of the last page in the magazine. Interior pages are age tanned. No owner’s name, no address label, no writing, no underlining, no other tears, no creases, no dog ears. All pages and covers are tight and intact.
