Description: Antique 19th century wooden blanket chest with original mustard paint, bracket feet and till inside.Measures 37" long x 14" front to back x 19 1/2" tall.Wear consistent with its age. There are scuffs and signs of age and use. It has the original old mustard paint. We acquired it at an estate sale; it had several original newspapers from the 1860s stored inside. Stands flat, opens and closes easily.The hinges seem to have been repaired and reinforced at some point. (see last two photos). Lock but no key.There is a very small piece of edge trim missing on the right front of the lid (about 1/8" wide x 5" long) Can be seen in photo 5 when the lid is open, not very noticeable when the lid is closed. Please look at all the photos as they are part of the description. Ask questions before you bid. We are not experts and sell a variety of mostly vintage and antique items.
