However during a test run the XJ13 suffered tire failure at 140 mph and the car was destroyed in the resulting crash, the driver walked away. Two years later the XJ13 was fully restored by Jaguar technicians and it now resides in the Jaguar museum. Real chrome and real rubber tires finish off this miniature work of automotive art.
