Description: This is Quartzo's March 701 from the 1970 Grand Prix Formula 1 season. This March 701 was driven by France's Henri Pescarolo in the 1971 South African Grand Prix. In this race Henri finished 11th, 2 laps behind the winner. There is a very nice driver figure (most 1:43 models do not include a driver figure) wearing the correct-green helmet worn by Pescarolo. There is great engine detail, all the stickers are correct for this car; all-in-all a very nice model of a driver that drove in the US Grand Prix many times as well as sports car races at Watkins Glen, Daytona and Sebring. The base is designed to be sat on top other Quartzo F-1 models in this line. It comes with a clear acrylic top that's in great shape, esp. considering this model is around 20 years old. It comes from a smoke-free home- so no odors. Pescarolo is most famous for winning the 1973 24 hrs of LeMans, France, sports car race with co-driver Graham Hill of England. No one is offering in the USA this exact Quartzo model. Those for sale are all from overseas where you're going to pay an extra $25 or more in shipping to the US.
