Description: Here is a set of 11 quilt blocks in the Grandmother's Flower Garden pattern, #425.2 in the Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns by Barbara Brackman. Design is categorized as a Multi Patch with a six-sided shape as a piece. Pattern is also known as Honeycomb. Also included are hundreds of cut hexagons to complete more flowers. These are shown in stacks of like patterns with some being fussy cut. Hexagons include patterns from the 1940s plus solids. Most of the stacks contain at least 12 pieces, however, there are a few stacks with less and some singles. The flowers are hand pieced and measure approximately 8" across at their widest point with the hexagon measuring 1 1/2" finished. Seven of the flowers have a yellow center followed by a solid round then a print round. Four of the flowers are missing the center. The cut hexagons measure about 2" across, unfinished. Flowers are generally clean, please use the zoom feature on the photos for a better look at the condition of each one. The last photo shows the back of one flower. Item is for only the pictured flowers and cut hexagons, no other finishing materials are included.
