Description: QVC UTC 70 CARATS COLOR CHANGING FLUORITE STERLING 7 1/4” TENNIS BRACELET 33g. This is bracelet I purchased about 6 years ago from QVC and paid over $500.00 plus taxes and shipping. It has been stored in my master closet until now. I purchased this tennis bracelet to match my Blue Topaz, London Blue Topaz, and Tanzanite jewelry because the colors of the stones change from a Blue Topaz to London Blue Topaz to a Bluish Purple depending on the light source. Fluorite stones come in many colors depending on the location of the mines. It is similar to Tanzanite in that it is color changing in light. With the cost of Tanzanite, my favorite stone, and the mines shut down, I decided to go with this stone. This a very impressive bracelet of 70 carats prong set faceted stones with a designer gallery on the side and inside. It is substantial but not heavy and it has a hidden box clasp with double figure eight safety catches found only in high end jewelry. I have retired and I am not dressing professionally anymore, so I wear less jewelry. I am downsizing my own personal jewelry collection that is authentic and purchased from reputable retailers. All of my items have been stored in my climate controlled smoke free home since purchasing. This bracelet was made for QVC by Ultimate Trading Corporation (UTC). They are an American based company that opened in 1985 to import Sterling Silver from Italy and Thailand. They have expanded their business to include high end costume jewelry and jewelryr with stones mined in various countries. The stones for this bracelet were mined in China from one of their Fluorite mines (blue stones). Fluorite is a very similar stone to Tanzanite, in that they should not be worn when doing heavy work.
