RARE 1957 Asahi PENTAX AP FIRST Model 35mm SLR FILM Camera +58mm f2 ZEISS Biotar

Description: Here's a a Nice Asahi Pentax SLR camera from 1957 or thereabouts, with a 58mm f/2 Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar Red T lens with M42 mount. This is the Original Model Pentax SLR--- also known as the Pentax AP--- before the Spotmatic and K series. It's a classic and very desirable film camera for a camera collection. It's in Excellent condition cosmetically---- just very light general wear and tear and some dirt in the nooks. No dents or damage other than slight general wear and tear small, light scratches--- really very nice condition. The lens has a little exterior wear too, but no dents or damage. The lens glass is fairly clear with a few specs of dust inside and an assortment of faint blemishes inside and outside--- but otherwise not too bad for the age. It's Not Mint so please don't expect it to be. Mechanically---- it's also in quite Excellent condition. The shutter fires at all speeds---- but No guarantees on how accurate they all are, but they look/sound pretty good to my ear. One curtain has some wrinkles (the one after it's been fired) but the other curtain looks fine. It winds smoothly and the Aperture works fine--- no oil. So it still should be a Good User if you decide to do so. So it's Not 100% Mint--- but it's still pretty nice and is working well, but I may have missed something. That's all I know and can tell you. This is an Old, Used Camera and any significant defects that I know of are either pictured or described to the best of my knowledge. I try to be detailed and truthful but I can't describe every millimeter of it, and there may be a nick or blemish or a few specs of dust that I failed to mention... but they would hardly diminish it... unless you expect everything to be like new and 100% Perfect when it was said not to be. What you see is what you'll get and I package my items well, so it arrives in the same condition as shown.
