Description: Selling another cue from my collection. Interesting rare 80s Helmstetter with 8 points and beautiful design. I generally don't like how Adam/Helmstetter cues play but this cue does not play like one. Butt: 29", 15.0 oz, flat 5/16x18. New pressed black linen wrap. Straight. *Original maple shaft: 29", 13.2 mm, 3.9 oz, G2 soft tip. Straight. I had this shaft retapered by Richard Hsu to closely replicate the long Meucci classic maple shaft taper. This is a really nice shaft which does not play like a Helmstetter shaft but with a soft flexy high action hit like a Meucci (which is what was intended). Exceptional old tight grain. You can of course screw down actual Meucci shafts on it or any other shaft with 5/16x18 insert. Cuetec Cynergy shaft: 29", 12.5 mm, 3.8 oz, fresh Zan Premium Soft tip. There only one tiny blemish in the form a very small scratch a few inches from the collar, I tried to capture it in the last photo. Cynergy shaft matches butt collar diameter well (see photo). (I cannot guarantee absolute measurement precision above but I am confident they are very close.) The cues is dead straight together and apart and plays very responsively with either shaft.
