Superb woodcut by the highly noted mid-20th Century graphic artist and author Frithjof Tidemand Johannessen [b] 1916 Oslo, Norway. Johannessen is especially known for his series of woodcuts depicting the seasons and the four cardinal points. I believe there were two designs per season and cardinal point. The design for sale is a woodcut, circa 1954 and is titled in Norweigien "STUDY" Condition ~ Excellent The edging is slightly bumpie but the image area is free from problems. Sorry about the reflection on some of the pictures. The first 5 pictures where taken outside and the last 5 in the house. The blue color is more accurate in the first 5 pics.
