Marked SECRET and dated September 8, 1918 for the September 12 attack. 64 HAND TYPED PAGES, COMPLETE. Covers the order of battle for the Corps and four Divisions, artillery barrage plans, movement, objectives, communications, liaison, etc., etc. for this first All-American campaign of World War I. This is a HAND TYPED copy of the ORIGINAL SECRET ORDERS that were personally typed by LIEUTENANT N. P. PARKINSON, COMPANY D, 151st MACHINE GUN BATTALION, 42nd RAINBOW DIVISION. Just after the war in the 1920's Grandad managed to get an original of these orders on temporary loan from the US Army. He typed them out (offered here) before returning the original to the Army.
